Larry has
been a long time contributor on Bracket500, at any time I've emailed Larry,
he's always come through to help me.
So here is an article on Larry's' work and how he got into slot car
drag racing building.
This car was built by LAPROMOD
back in 2007
All hand painted.

I got in to the hobby in 2005 that is when I started
building both Bracket and Class Cars and some of my Class Cars hold records
at our local tracks. I have learned a lot from the help of others in the
hobby, Meatball (Mark Portman) and Weasal (Steve Portman) from Bullitt Speedway
have helped me out a lot

I'm an auto bodyman,
I don't do any painting at work, I think that is why I enjoy painting
slot cars so much. I use PPG and House of Kolor products which are applied
with a Harbor Freight $30.00 detail gun. I tried a friends expensive airbrush
and was never comfortable using it.

My favorite
cars are the Pro Mods and really enjoy modifying the bodies I just wish
I had more time to do that.
I used to race a full scale Nova and a Henry J, I always tell others
they may be toy cars but the competition is real that's the part I really
enjoy about the racing aspect of the hobby. I have tried to not build the
same car with the same paint job twice.
