A new class sweeping the hobby of slot car drag racing.

These are the rules we run at Buena Park, other tracks have modified them for their track so you need to check with your local track for the exact rules for that track!

1) Minimum weight = 100 grams
2) MUST be vacuum formed STYRENE car body, Roadsters will be allowed, Must have clear windows or clear windscreen, NO F/Cs, NO Rails, NO Altereds, Roadsters Must have a Roll Cage.
3) Must have a 3 dimensional painted full interior, Roadsters must have a painted driver in the correct position.
4) Must run WRP C-06 Chassis - NO cutting for lightening allowed - You may enlarge mounting holes for correct fit or for pinion rear clearance. Extra bracing may be added.
5) Must be .082" Stainless tubing main rails (front to back), any size uprights allowed.
6) Must run rear axle bushings on 3/32" axle (NO bearings allowed)
7) Front wheels 3/4" minimum O.D. Must be in upright position and turn.
8) Rear wheels MINIMUM size .500" wide by 1-1/16" O.D. (May be larger).
9) STOCK Falcon 7 motor (ABSOLUTELY NO MODIFICATIONS)
10) Must be 64 pitch 16 tooth pinion gear.
11) Must be 64 pitch 46 tooth crown gear.
12) Final legality will be up to the race directors discretion!
13) Will be run heads up on a pro 2 light tree.


Update This class has been dropped at some tracks, again check with the track and see if they still run
this class. Also this page is to show you that you can build a consistent race car that you can race every
week at your local track. It's an inexpensive car to build. The Vette below has won enough races to pay it off.

After talking to Gary Lum we found out that it was best to flip the chassis over to place the front plate.
Due to clearance for the wheelie wheels.

We had a bit of trouble lining up the axle. as the rules state you can adjust for that by filing the axle hole.

At Eddies Slot Car World in Vallejo, CA
we had a class we called "Spec Cars"
Our bodies had to be pre-70s "A Nostalgia class"
I built this Vette for that class, a couple
of other built some but the class never
got off the ground, there was a VW,
an Austin and this Vette. Same spec build
as above with the exception of a 15 pinion gear.
Now this car for the series "My weekly Results"
 I changed it to a 16 pinion gear.
