How to Participate in a Bracket Race:
In drag racing, a bracket race is a race in which one of the competing cars is handicapped by having to start from a further distance from the finish line than the other car or by having the drag racing staging light set at a different interval. By correctly estimating the acceleration rates of the two cars and by calculating the precise distance needed to make it a fair race.

We're off and running with the World Titles Championships at Mid-America. Check the message board for more details, we set up a section just for this event, we expect racers from all over the world to participate. The dates are June 14-15-16, 2012. We will have more details coming soon.	We have a large selection of catalogs from our sponsors, so when you go to the local track you can order by manufacturer and part number. Our sponsors have new products coming out all the time, check the front page of Bracket500.com where you can see some of these new products.
Bracket 500 recently has been contacted by some 1960s electric drag car racers, we followed through with some articles and pictures of their cars, see the Vintage Forum on the message board. We've had a few people contact us, keep'em coming.	June 12, 2012 is fast coming, Bracket500 will be working with a track and some of the old timers to see how we should celebrate the 50th years of organized slot car drag racing. Stay tuned.
